Small Class Instruction
Serving Grades JK-5
At Richmond Primary School, we meet each student where they are academically to help them reach their individual potential, enhance their confidence in learning, and build a strong foundation for their primary school education. Whether working in small student groups throughout the day for reading and math or one-on-one instruction with classroom teachers, all our students are given a variety of ways to learn and grow socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically in a positive, nurturing environment. Our 12:1 ratio allows each student to acquire the skills and concepts appropriate to their learning level while also encouraging them to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to become forward-thinking learners.
Our Kindergarten through 5th grade school day is from 8:30am-3:00pm. Each grade receives daily language arts, math, social studies and science instruction. In addition, students participate in a different resource each day including visual arts, music, performing arts, Spanish, physical education and library. All students also attend chapel in the St. Matthews sanctuary two times each week.
Students have the option of before and after-school care Monday-Friday. Our before care starts at 7:45am and our after school care ends at 5:00pm. During this time, students will have snack (brought from home), participate in various enrichment programs, and other creative and physical activities. Please visit our Tuition page for additional costs associated with these programs.
